2024 OVP Pasidungog

Read the Vice President's Speech

The Office of the Vice President (OVP) honored institutions, groups, and individuals who supported the institution’s programs and projects.

Pasidungog, held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City on June 29 marked the second year of OVP’s partnership and collaboration with numerous groups, both from the public and private sectors. Pasidungog is a term in the Visayan language that means tribute or honor in English.

Vice President Sara Duterte’s message centered on the ‘paningkamot’ and ‘paglaum’ or hard work and hope — two life lessons that emerged from OVP’s partnerships and have since energized millions of Filipinos across the country.

The OVP recognized over 1,000 partners from the private sector, government agencies, and key figures from various regions of the country.

“We are given the opportunity to serve the people and become institutions that would help restore the people’s trust in our government through effective, relevant, and timely public service,” the Vice President said.

The Pasidungog aligns with OVP's vision to be a dynamic partner institution in nation-building, creating lasting impact for every Filipino. The OVP looks forward to embracing a new phase of collaboration with its partner institutions, characterized by fervent effort and hope for Filipinos and the Philippines.
