In recognition of the sacrifices of solo parents in providing for their families, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) distributed Eid al-Fitr food packs to Muslim solo parents in Maharlika Village, Taguig City, on May 2.

A total of 429 Muslim residents of Barangay Maharlika received the food packs for the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, which marked the end of the fasting month of Ramadhan.

This initiative was in response to the request of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos - National Capital Region, led by Regional Director Dr. Dimapuno A. Datu-Ramos Jr. and coordinated by Blue Mosque Administrator Mr. Paterno Esmaquel II.

The OVP stands in solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters during their sacred occasion. The Office also pays tribute to all solo parents who persevere and strive for their children's well-being.
