In solidarity with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) distributed food packs to various Muslim communities across the country. Through OVP Satellite Offices, some 50,000 Eid al-Fitr food packs were distributed from April 2 to May 11 to our Muslim brothers and sisters in Luzon, NCR, Visayas, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, BARMM, and Western Mindanao.

Vice President Sara Duterte led the distribution of the food packs to the beneficiaries, including mothers, the religious sector, urban poor, farmers, and fishermen.

In her message for Eid al-Fitr, the Vice President emphasized the importance of unity. “Sa kabila ng ating pagkakaiba, ang pagkakaisa, paggalang, at pagmamahal sa ating bansa ay napakahalaga,” the Vice President said.

The OVP aims to bring joy to our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrating the end of the Holy month of Ramadan as a sign of respect for their faith, tradition, and culture.
