Zack, a nine-year-old boy born without legs due to Phocomelia Syndrome, a rare congenital anomaly, was a determined Grade 4 student at the SPED Training Center in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.
Despite his disability, Zack was an active and dedicated learner interested in swimming.
Zack's teacher reached out to the Office of the Vice President through the Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office, which provided the young athlete with a wheelchair.
Zack's parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the OVP, emphasizing the significant help the wheelchair has been transporting him to school and competitions.
Last year, Zack participated in a swimming competition for paralympic athletes in Macato, Aklan. He brought home a medal.
The boy also demonstrates academic excellence.
