During her official visit to Cambodia as the President of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in March, Vice President Sara Duterte was accompanied by Ciara May.

Ciara May is the fifth participant in the "You Can Be VP" (YCBVP) program of the Office of the Vice President, which aims to provide experiential learning to selected youth about the duties of the Vice President. The program aims to inspire and deliver meaningful experiences to the participating youth.

Ciara May is a Grade 8 student at Las Navas National High School in Northern Samar. The Vice President visited Las Navas National High School last year, where she first met Ciara May.

Ciara May accompanied the Vice president in all her meetings, school visits, and meetings with Filipino community leaders in Cambodia.

The Vice President hopes her unique experience will inspire Ciara May to study, graduate, and achieve her dreams. She wishes that Ciara May and other participants of the "You Can Be VP" program will serve as inspirations for Filipino youth to value education and strive to achieve their dreams in life.
