The Office of the Vice President OVP - Western Mindanao Satellite Office joined the Earth Day celebration through a river cleanup on April 20.

Through Project Rio, participants from the public and private sectors collectively cleaned the river in Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga. Youth leaders from the Jovenez Allianza de Zamboanga led the river cleanup and improvement activity.

The OVP and other participants were invited by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to be part of the initiative as part of its Opportunity 2.0 Project for Out-of-School Youth.

The OVP stands in solidarity with efforts advancing environmental conservation and initiatives for youth empowerment.
