The Office of the Vice President (OVP), led by the Eastern Visayas Satellite Office, distributed a total of 1,500 gift packs containing Noche Buena items and five kilograms of rice to street vendors in Tacloban City on December 8.

In another activity at the Leyte Normal University Gymnasium and through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), financial assistance was also given to 1,818 individuals from various sectors.

For the activities, the OVP collaborated with various government offices, including the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Tacloban City Police Office, Traffic Operation Management Enforcement and Control Office Tacloban, and personnel from the Government Internship Program (GIP) of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
