Shan Michael, an 18-year-old student from the Masbate National Comprehensive High School, played football at the 2024 Palarong Bicol in Albay.

On May 3, during the Palarong Bicol 2024 Football Secondary Finals at Bicol University Sports Complex in Legazpi City, he suffered a Musculoskeletal Strain in his Lumbosacral Area and Abrasions in his Lumbar Area.

Through the OVP-Bicol Satellite Office, and with help from the Department of Health, he received medical assistance to undergo a computed tomography scan or CT Scan to ensure there are no serious issues with his back.

Shan Michael thanked the OVP for the medical assistance provided under the DOH’s Medical Assistance to Indigent and Financially Incapacitated Patients Program, which alleviated their expenses.
