Siblings Jessa, 37, and Christine, 32, both have polio, a condition that affected their mobility but not their will to live.
They earn a living in the recycling sector. They are beneficiaries of the government’s cash-for-work assistance or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) of the Department of Labor and Employment.
To address their mobility problem, the sisters received wheelchairs from the Office of the Vice President (OVP) through the Caraga Satellite Office.
The OVP aims to provide impactful and lasting service to the Filipinos.
