OVP leads simultaneous nationwide distribution of ‘PagbaBAGo’ bags

MANILA – The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Friday conducted simultaneous distribution of ‘PagbaBAGo’ bags in different provinces in the country.

Over 3,500 ‘PagbaBAGo’ bags were given to Grade 1 and Grade 4 students across 17 public elementary schools nationwide.

Vice President Sara Z. Duterte personally graced and lead Friday’s distribution of ‘PagbaBAGo’ bags at the Maahad Norol Yaqeen Litahfidil Qur’an (Madrasah School) in Caloocan City. She was joined by Dr. Dimapuno A. Datu-Ramos Jr, Regional Director of the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The PagbaBAGo campaign is a program which aims to instill the importance of basic education and nurture the right attitude among young Filipinos to succeed in life. It was VP Duterte’s program when she was still mayor of Davao City.

The project has become part of the Vice President’s activities during her visits in cities and towns across the country.

As this school year commences, the OVP reaffirms its commitment in alleviating the financial challenges associated with providing basic school needs to students through a nationwide simultaneous distribution of PagbaBAGo through the help of the institution’s 10 satellite offices.

Each bag contains school supplies with two (2) pcs of notebooks, two (2) of ball pens, three (3) pcs of pencils, one (1) box of crayons, one (1) pc of sharpener, one (1) pc of eraser, one (1) of ruler, one (1) pc of plastic envelope, one (1) pc of raincoat, one (1) pc of bag tag, one (1) resealable plastic and dental kits— one (1) pc of toothbrush and one (1) pack of toothpaste.

VP Duterte’s PagbaBAGo initiative is designed to further the program’s objective of emphasizing the significance of education through providing bags with school supplies and dental kits to identified learners.
