The Office of the Vice President provided assistance to 500 families affected by a chemical spillage in Barangay San Miguel, Bauan, Batangas on November 14.
The OVP Disaster Operations Center distributed two sets of food bags to each family severely affected by the spillage, temporarily seeking refuge in the barangay covered court.
The food bag contained three kilograms of rice, five packs of instant noodles, and five canned goods.
Efforts to prevent the spread of approximately 400 liters of hazardous chemicals continue.
