The Davao Gulf Fishermen Cooperative received a P150,000 livelihood grant as a beneficiary of the Mag Negosyo Ta 'Day (MTD) program of the Office of the Vice President (OVP).
Domingo Ang, chairperson of the cooperative, accepted the check during a ceremony led by Director for Operations Norman Baloro, held at the OVP Davao Satellite Office on May 10.
The cooperative, which has 21 members and is registered with the Cooperative Development Authority, aims to provide access to affordable frozen products in the community and strengthen the sales of frozen fish products to assist its members.
MTD is an OVP program that provides Filipinos with livelihood and entrepreneurial opportunities. The OVP remains committed to delivering programs and services that will have lasting effects on the lives of Filipinos.
