Led by the Office of the Vice President Eastern Visayas Satellite Office, a total of 6,125 students from various municipalities in Leyte received school bags containing school supplies and dental kits from October 23 to October 26.
The students came from the towns of Palo, Tanauan, Dagami, Burauen, Julita, Mayorga, Sta. Fe, and Pastrana.
Meanwhile, in Camarines Sur, some 3,000 indigent learners from 20 elementary schools in the towns of Lupi, Sipocot, Limbanan, Pamplona, San Fernando, Camaligan, Canaman, Magarao, Bombon, Milaor and Calabanga also received PagbaBAGo bags on October 13.
The distribution was made through the OVP Bicol Satellite Office, with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office - Camarines Sur.
The OVP also led the planting of an additional 3,000 seedlings in selected 16 schools in Camarines Sur.
These initiatives were part of the PagbaBAGo: A Million Learners and Trees Campaign.
