Vice President Duterte was invited to speak before the Sacada or “Sugarcane Workers” during the Bisita Sacada program of the Provincial Government of Antique.

The annual holding of the Bisita Sacada is aimed at providing assistance to sugarcane workers in the province.

As Secretary of Education, she emphasized the importance of education, urging parents to ensure that their children finish their studies.

Recognizing that many of the workers did not complete elementary and high school, she encouraged them to enroll in the Alternative Learning System, which would give them the opportunity to complete their education without physically attending school.

Vice President Duterte thanked Governor Rhodora Cadiao for the invitation to participate in the Bisita Sacada, and Mayor Mhai Nicor-Mangilimutan for welcoming them to the town of La Castellana.
