Vice President Sara Duterte received His Excellency Ilan Fluss, Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Philippines, at the Department of Education Central Office on Wednesday.

The two officials talked about the ongoing conflict in Israel and Gaza. VP Sara conveyed her condolences to those who perished in the conflict.

VP Sara also thanked Israel for the assistance provided to the Filipinos in their country.

She reiterated her support for a peaceful solution to the ongoing conflict with an emphasis on protecting civilians, especially children — to achieve sustainable peace.

Also discussed was the ongoing collaboration and cooperation between the Philippines and Israel on education.
