As the Secretary of Education, Vice President Sara Duterte signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation Inc. at the Crowne Plaza Manila in Quezon City.

The foundation was represented by its Chair, Mr. Lance Gokongwei.

The Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, Inc. (GBF) has been a steadfast partner of the Department of Education in advancing STEM Education in the country. Its initiatives include scholarships, technical training, teacher training, and donations to various schools.

This year, the foundation’s program, the STEM Collab, has engaged 30,000 teachers, providing diverse training to enhance teaching methods and skills. Through its Juan Kapatid Learning Recovery program, the foundation has also assisted numerous schools.

The foundation is also behind the STEM Community-based Scholarship for Excellence, Young Scientist Award, and Educators Capacity-Building Programs.

The Vice President thanked the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, Inc. for its continued support of the Department of Education.
